Although they provide the measurements, for some reason I was expecting it to be a little bigger. It is a thick book, however. It came in new condition with shrink wrap over it. I love all the ribbons. They even included a card of Mary and a handwritten not that filled the whole backside which I thought was really cool. I appreciate that kind of effort. My only gripe is that the Missal itself is confusing to properly use. For instance, for May 31 it tells you to reference other pages but theres no direction on what you’re doing with those pages. Like what order am I supposed to read those in? Im a Catholic convert in his third year so I know I have a lot to learn still but even though I know the church is the one true church, it gets very frustrating all the nuance vocabulary the church is obsessed with using. I dont know what 90% of it means and its very discouraging because its like reading a foreign language. Flipping through this missal it seams like there is a lot of referencing other pages which is a lot of work just to read the daily readings. This missal is okay. The only pages with color (red and black) are the Ordinary (whatever that means). The rest of the pages are all black. (The Ordinary is only black and red, like in the picture). I bought this missal expecting the whole thing to be black and red and I liked the look of the old font. But im contemplating even picking the thing up again because I dont want to have to flip through a ton of pages in an incredibly thick book just to get my daily reading in. I have no bad things to say about this company or their site who sold it though. They are great. Oh yeah, theres no table of contents.
