Reflections on The Word from others, I think, reveal that much more of God's will, and inspires to better respond to His Grace, to discern It and then do It.
For us, this collection of reflections does just that. Each one is aligned with the particular scriptural offering for that particular day in the Liturgical cycle. The phrasing, length and content of each one results in good comprehension and retention. We use it daily and look forward to reading each offering as part of our daily prayer response to Our Lord.
Sometimes there may be a temptation to question whether something written decades ago could still be "relevant" today. The secular worldview would have us believe that we know so much better nowadays. This book helps to put that trope to rest. God's Word is eternal, unchanging and perfect. The reflections in this book are timeless.
Each liturgical cycle is preceded by a helpful and informative introduction. There is a helpful index in the back for quickly locating specific items of interest. Physically, this book is solidly bound. It will last. Preferred print size is subjective; for us, a slightly larger font would be helpful.
WE are thankful that we were led to purchasing this book. If you are considering it as well, we pray that you are blessed accordingly.
