I originally owned the Angelus Press edition of the Little Office, but I found, as other reviewers tried to warn (not just here), that the cover construction is a bit weak and the gold leaf on the spine and front cover is already flaking off (I’ve had it less than a year). Also, there are aspects of the configuration of the prayers themselves which can be unnecessarily confusing.
So I went ahead and got the Baronius Press edition. It’s pricier but worth it—definitely found a keeper. Not only is this clearly a book built for regular use, but it is crystal clear in layout and contains a number of appendices replete with Marian devotions. (It also includes chant notation for singing various aspects of the Hours—as a composer, I grant bonus points for this). Unlike the Angelus edition, however, it doesn’t include an Office of the Dead, so it shall for that reason alone be spared my donation pile.
